North Branch Township is located in
South Eastern Isanti County. The township has a total area of 35.0 square miles (90.6 km²), of
which 34.7 square miles (89.7 km²) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.9 km²) of it (0.97%) is water.
As the smallest unit of State Government, we are responsible for the roads,
bridges, ditches, and rights of way which border them, as well as fire protection
for the residents. North Branch township maintains 49.458 miles
of roads, of that 1.7 is asphalt.
The Township Hall is located
.2 miles south of county road 5 on Notre Dame St NE.
Township meetings are open to the public!
The monthly meeting is held at the Township Hall on the first (1rst) Thursday of
the Month beginning at 7:00 p.m. and ending when the business is finished. The Annual
Meeting, the most important meeting of the year for residents to attend is by statute
held on the second (2nd) Tuesday of March, unless inclement weather forces it's
rescheduling. It is at this meeting where the public voice is heard on all matters
including the tax levy. Special meetings are scheduled as necessary at the discretion
of the Town Board of Supervisors. All official notices are published in the Isanti
County News and on the Posting Board located in front of the Township Hall.
